Please consult “The Tours” page for descriptions of each visit. The tours can be modified according to your tastes and interests, but the primary focus will be the history and culture of New York City as seen through its art, architecture, and urban development. All tours will be conducted outdoors (except for museum visits) so please dress appropriately. The tours will last two to two and a half hours, and walking will be at a leisurely pace with frequent stops. The guide will meet you at a specified address (typically near a subway station); directions and travel advice are available when you reserve the tour.

Emma Guest-Consales, Ph.D. founder and principal guide of “My New York City Tours” is an experienced guide and lecturer who has taught art and architectural history in New York City for fifteen years. She is an official New York City Tour Guide with a license from the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs. She has a doctorate degree in Italian Renaissance art, and has also taught classes on the history, art, and architecture of New York City. Currently a resident of New Jersey, she lived in Manhattan for seven years, and continues to work in and around New York City. She is completely fluent in Italian, so all tours are suitable for Italian visitors. Please use the “Contact us” page to request more information.

Tutte le visite, tranne quelle ai musei, consistono di passeggiate all’aperto ed hanno una durata fra due e due ore e mezza. Al momento della prenotazione, vi saranno fornite ulteriori indicazioni, incluso il punto d’incontro (spesso vicino ad una stazione della metropolitana) e consigli su come arrivare.

La Prof.ssa Emma Guest-Consales, fondatrice e guida principale di “My New York City Tours” ha conseguito un Dottorato in Storia dell’Arte Rinascimentale Italiana, parla italiano correntemente, e vanta ben 15 anni di esperienza come docente e conoscitrice della storia, dell’arte, e dell’architettura di New York City, dove ha vissuto per sette anni e dove tutt’oggi continua a lavorare.
